I usually get 32+MPG. I drive mostly with econ on tho.

Turn ECON off and I think you will see better mileage. A short burst of extra boost is better than a long, drawn out pull. At least that's what I have found.

I've put 9000 miles on my 2018 EXT Coupe with the 1.5T and 6MT. I drive a mix of city and highway, and I would say my driving style is average... not timid, not overly aggressive.

My actual mileage has varied from 35 to 38 mpg. This was calculated using actual miles driven and actual gallons of gas put in the tank (I keep a spreadsheet... because I'm kind of neurotic that way.) The trip computer, however, has consistently calculated mileage about 10% higher than these numbers, i.e. 38 to 42 mpg.

Anyone else have this issue? I figure there must be an issue with the trip computer's algorithm, but the 10% error is very consistent.
YES, but my math puts it about 5-8% on average not 10% although I don't see 10% being out of the realm of possibility. also glad to see others know the right way to do it and not just go by the stupid onboard systems numbers. that said I don't keep a spreadsheet, I keep a mental note of my average per tank to compare to the last tank or 2 till I get a fairly established average.

32-35mpg. 2019 Civic Sport CVT. Stock, 91 octane. Just hit 4K miles. Nearly 100% city, rarely highway.

Thank you for answering! I keep seeing people post their mileage with no acknowledgment of whether their numbers are just those reported by the trip computer or the actual. It would be nice to get some feedback from a large number of civic owners so we can tell if all civic trip computers miscalculate, or just ours.

Mine might be closer to 8%... I might just dig back through the TC data, pull its numbers and add them to my spreadsheet. Let it calculate how far off the TC is.

I'm lucky
That's very good! Where do you drive mostly?

I have a hatchback, 1.5t 6MT. On original Continentals I got better mileage than on newer Falkens in 17" with softer sidewalls. So it was 37.5 city, 42 highway and now city is more like 36.5. This is at 4000 feet, hilly.
I'm fortunate I've got about a six to eight mile drive at highway speeds before turning off.
The other trick is to keep my wife's shopping all in one area and not chasing from one mall to another.
And I'm finally retired so it's not pedal-to-the-metal anymore.

How? I have touched 36.6 mpg for one tank in a Sport Touring, even with many tanks of 100% highway. Are you hypermiling? How does a Si get better gas mileage than a Sport Touring?

Are some of you basing your mileage off the trip computer? I am doing fuel in / miles driven for my MPG and am under the impression that it is the most accurate way to measure.

I put on 154 miles every day going to work and back and about 80% of that trip is highway miles with my cruise control set at 71 MPH, no hypermiling, just normal highway driving. That's basically all the car is used for. I'll easily beat that 39 mpg on most every tank in the summer, I think the highest I've gotten is around a 46 mpg average on one tank of gas, my car really likes the warmer weather.
