Cars have been around for 100 years and there was no such thing as a maintenance minder. It's very recent on cars and it didn't prevent you from maintaining your car in the right way. Personally, I never bother. I know what to do and when to do it. A car isn't complicated.

Yesterday I rode in the middle of the night. This little led was on and I couldn't see any use for it. Except perhaps to indicate that there are accessories on the ceiling; interior lights? This LED is very weak and doesn't project any light towards the transmission lever.
