agreed! its trying too hard to be an accord and the chip shortage ruined half the features.

The 11th gen is really nice and seems like the reviews are positive so far. But at this point I plan to keep my 10th gen because I love the aggressive looks and prefer the 10th gen interior (especially the huge center console!). Also I've only owned mine for a few weeks to it will be a while before I switch. I wanted to experience the 10th gen CTR that I heard so many positive things about so I pulled the trigger. If the 11th gen is much better then I'll have a few years with mine and switch toward the end of the 11th gen lifecycle.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. Having to decide whether to keep your 10th gen or get a new 11th gen is a good problem to have!

Just a personal opinion but the civic is losing its culture from where it started.

Throughout the generations from when it was born, it remained a cheap, zippy, economy, good daily commuter car and due to its ease of modifications of simplicity became a great tuner for anyone. Its style showed "young at heart" and was never boring cause it always had personality. It started going down hill when the 9th gen released. Failed on the hathback, looking more like a Peugeot, and the sedan just felt like it grew up way too fast. The 10th gen felt like life was fed back into its soul. The flare showed on all trims, aggressive in all stances even when being tamed. The added turbo feature winning the younger crowd back into the circle hoping they saved the civic. It feels like home even though has gotten bigger compared to the previous gens with alittle more luxury, overall still remains wild. The 11th gen is a loss and I feel they are becoming more for the "business class in mind". When seeing the 11gen civic, first car it looks like is the Audi A4. Its bulky, straight, barely any flow lines, looks like a boat on wheels, longer nose is just a no for a front wheel drive car, and theres nothing fiesty left. Just because you carry the turbo over doesn't mean you can remove the style we grew up and keep our hearts interested. Style goes a long way in choosing a car and for being a japanese car company, I've always kept my interest in the jdm scene, especially for affordable repairs in the long run. I don't see this civic or even the Integra making many sales. These cars were built to be affordable, fun, econo, small tuners. The hatches and liftbacks were better as 2drs.

I've said as much from the start and I was around when Honda first arrived in the US. Sorry Honda, but you've lost me. I've never had a desire for a family sedan and essentially that's what the 11th sedan is. A conservative scaled down Accord.

I miss the Honda of old. The 10th was my first Honda in a very long time. They brought me back because the 10th had a real fun vibe to it. I thought Honda would build on that. The vibe I get from the 11th is buttoned down and not wanting to ruffle feathers. It's good but leaves me cold. Ih well, maybe the 12th will be the one.

The 11th Gen is too generic looking.

The Civic was the top selling compact car when we bought the 2018. And I thought Honda was known for reliability. But since Honda has extended the warranty on the engine & AC evaporator I'm concerned about reliability. If I had to replace the 2018 due to maintenance costs I'm not sure what to replace it with.

I will be trading in my 2016 Touring for a 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x at some point. I need a truck so I can do truck-like things.

Or... Get a used Frontier for like $3000-$5000 and keep both

I've had mine for 18 years. It's a champ

Any car that has the Ipad stuck on the dash look, is an automatic no from me. My girlfriend cant stand it either. We were thinking of trading in her 2015 corolla for a new one. But she decided that she wants to wait for the next model and hope that it doesnt have that. That and its so boring. If I wanted to get an accord Ill get an accord.
