Is Shell the best? I normally put Shell 93 V Power Nitro+ in my vehicles.

What has the best RON/AKI rating? Does the different additives each company put in the fuel make a difference? Does it matter or is it all marketing as fuel comes from the same place?

What do you put in your vehicles? Looking forward to your input as I’d like to put only the best in my CTR.

I used to try that back when I had my '12 Si but there were only so few Shell stations around me and none of them are convenient or close by. These days I just go with Wawa gas... they're a big chain of gas stations with convenience stores in this region - believe they started out first in PA.

Usually fill up at Costco or CTC.
Haven’t used any other grade but 87 yet.
Noticeable difference in butt dyno or not?

I’ve never put anything but 93 in so I don’t know vs 87. I have however used different name brands but I can’t tell a difference on the butt dyno

This thread will be important for me to watch what people do with their Si's. The shell station nearest me has 93 octane at $4.40/gallon, whereas Costco is $3.64/gallon. Pretty big difference there, and I normally would buy gas just about anywhere as long as it's the cheapest... but if there is an actual difference in quality, maybe the extra $10 spent per fill-up is important.

Ouch! Shell V Power Nitro+ is $3.48/gallon here and their loyalty program is pretty good. I always get .10 cents off a gallon so I pay $3.38/gallon

Yup, welcome to Northern California.

Forgot about loyalty programs. That at least helps slightly. If I end up doing mods and require racing fuel as well though, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet of such costs, telling myself that's just part of the price I pay for doing all of that.

I've noticed no difference running 4 consecutive tanks of Shell 93 vs Fuel Up 93 (exxon generic). I really was hoping to feel a difference to justify the cost. Now i fill at the Fuel Up and save 20-30 cents per gallon.

I fill up at shells since I get .10 cents off a gallon but in my area we only have 91 octane

Here in Texas I use 93 Octane from Valero for my tuned Si. In the event a Valero isn't nearby I use top tier certified gas preferably 93 octane.

I have a Sunoco gas station 1 min away from my house that I fuel up all my cars at. I give all of them 93 octane including the civic since its been tuned. Been using that gas station for a long long time now for all of my cars and prices are pretty good at $3.41 a gallon I believe for ultra 93 so not too bad.

Excuse me, I was saying 93 octane this whole time. I meant 91.
