So on their website they show two different ones. Is the one without the interface essentially the same thing? Or has their been improvements? What one would y’all recommend getting ?

One is with screen to see live readings and the other doesn't have a screen, that's the only difference

Unless you want to Honda hack the head unit, get the V2. Live monitoring is fast and without the glitches of Bluetooth Tunerview.

I totally agree. Tunerview has been 100% hit or miss (mostly miss) for me. OP also keep in mind with the V2 no laptop is ever needed which is a nice plus.

1.2 is fine. I like to install something and forget about it. I am not going to do tunes on the fly or something. I have a new laptop and plenty of access to a computer to load tunes. Save yourself $200 and get other mods.

That’s what I was thinking too, thanks

V1.2 works just the same. Both version do logging and use the same tunes. My Tunerview works great, but honestly the novelty wears off. More driving and less gawking at the screen IMO. Whatever you decide... bump in performance is well worth the purchase.

IMO, on a tuned car you should always have the ability to at least occasionally keep an eye on engine parameters that might indicate an issue, LTFT and boost probably being the most straightforward to see if something's wrong. Obviously you can see boost in the dash. I've been very happy w/ Tunerview. The only issue I ever have is if I'm using Android Auto before Tunerview connects, it gets into a loop of reconnecting every 10 seconds or so. Reconnecting my phone corrects this. (According to the dev, this is some weird behavior w/ the headunit and bluetooth that he has no control over).

And both can switch map on the fly, right?
If your ECU/tunes support it. Each KTuner flash on mine can have three tune variations (four, if you count the ECO mode), switchable on the fly. Plus... the unit can be loaded with up to five flash profiles. They show in Tunerview, ready to flash your ECU. You then have potentially 15+ tune variations avaiable to you without having to use your laptop. Way over the top... but it's there. I have the KTuner 21psi (3 tunes switchable OTF), TSP Stage 1, and stock... as an example.

have the 1.2 with tuner view and it works just fine. Even connected my laptop to make sure the tunerview was getting the same numbers and it was spot on to the live view on my laptop

One great option is if you get the v 1.2 and decide you want the screen version later, just sell your v 1.2. They have great resale value.

I personally would go with the V2 because I'm a tech guy. I like to see the numbers. Being able to consistently monitor your car on a tune is important so you can prevent future problems form getting worse. The app you can download to your head unit is not stable or that reliable from what I've seen.
