That’s explained. Obviously 245 is bigger than the oem size and although +40 is almost flush but with 245, an increased of 5mm poke further and 5.4% increased sidewall, it has more tendency to rub as compared with oem 235/40 size.

8” offset +40 is quite flush with the fender. As it is lowered, it accelerates the wear & tear of the shock, and started to rub. Time to replace the shock or pull out the guide pin will give a bit camber.

Does this fit 2017 non-Si model? I googled and it says non-Si is M18x1.5 and Type R is M20x1.5. I wanted to pull the trigger but just want to confirm the size for 2017 non-Si transmission sump oil size. Thanks!
Civic paintwork is thin and the clear coat is soft. You need to assess the condition of the paint surface. I just removed the swirls mark with finishing compound and coated with 2 layers of Graphene.
