Could possibly try taking the steering wheel off and moving it slightly? but do this with extreme caution and disconnect the battery if you end up doing this yourself, you dont want the airbag to go off in your face
yeah the part itself costed me 350, they charged another 3 hours of diag/programming 150 an hour. The advisor was an old coworker of mine from my dealership days so he bumped down the labor cost and waved the taxes and added another 50 dollar discount so I cant complain he didn't have to do all...
got the call today car was fixed the module they ordered was the fix, thank god. 809 dollars later I finally got my car back, thankfully it was a fast fix... expensive but fast
part number of the part 38809-TBE-A11
incase someone runs into a similar situation hopefully this thread will help them
I tested the battery, and so did they battery is solid. All the lights went away on the following start up/drive to the dealer. At this moment they were not able to communicate directly to the BCM so the module theyre ordering I HOPE and so does the advisor will be the fix
read replies above, key is dead(not working) and something electronically failed. I will hopefully get the call back tomorrow that everything is fine but the way it seemed to the tech was something shorted out
Dealer called they were not able to communicate with their computer through the obd2, recommending at the moment an immobilizer unit a bcu as he called it which is around 700 bucks and one of my keys isn’t reading so need a new key too.
An odd ball issue they’re not sure what happened or why
I swapped out the battery on my key still no response. Not even the panic button worked. I did notice the light on fob was not flashing the little red light it has when a button was pressed
tried the reflash no luck, lights went away but keys were still not locking or unlocking car, still only way to start it was by putting the fob against the start stop, had to take the drive of shame to the dealer since I fear its a BCM issue, luckily the advisor was an old buddy of mine I worked...
no magnets, I got work everything was fine car locked, I go to lunch and same thing everything is fine and then I turn the car off after lunch and its acting as if its struggling to read the key
stock, was tuned but have been stock for over a month now
As the title says turned my car off after my lunch break and noticed my car didnt lock on its own, tried locking it with key and still nothing, opened the door and noticed the start/stop button blinking white, I tried turning on the car and still nothing. I only got a response from the car when...
Unpaired from my car trying to avoid the headaches of the future smog ecu issues with CA if someone wants to deal it no worries from me
Would prefer a local sale to make sure everything works I tried selling it someone back east and they had issues with their vehicle so not trying to go...
he didnt, my unit was displaying to him that the unit was locked to an ECU which is odd because I unpaired it from my ECU so I emailed support, told me to get it back and on this thread I attached what I saw the moment I checked it on the ktuner software. Thats why I was curious if anyone here...
