Just brought home #39935. Paid Sticker at Hare Honda in Avon IN(Near Indy). Very easy buying process, Clay and Allen were awesome.

I had a deposit on that car. I put a deposit back in early June they said it was to be in production in July with an estimated delivery date of August. At the end of August I called to check where it was and they said it got delayed due to Covid and they were sure when they were getting it in. I ended up buying from another dealer.

Odometer photo shows 6 miles, which is typical when it gets delivered. That said, if you think this is MSRP based on the listing and without contacting the dealer for a quote, there's a very good chance the listing is inaccurate for price.

Most dealers list CTRs at MSRP on websites (cars.com, autotrader.com, etc.) but when you contact them for real pricing, they are asking over MSRP
I called about that one and you had to add on 2.5k worth of options..

Subbing to this thread as I'm in the market for a CTR as well. Been doing as much research as I can and have been to just 4 dealerships in my area with CTRs. All wouldn't budge less than 5k above MSRP. So the hunt continues

I got lucky on this one. I was on the wait list at another Indy dealer and was probably looking at 6 months or more of waiting. I checked the Honda Inventory and saw Hare had this coming in and called them.

Stay on top of the dealers that are adding ADM. if you offer MSRP at the right time of the month they will let you have it. I got my CTR for MSRP this way. It did have a $10,000 ADM on it. I called my sales guy and told him MSRP and he got it for me. Remember these guys work on commission. If it’s sitting there with a high ADM nobody is making any money
An aggressive salesperson can get it for you

I’ll give it a shot. I believe the end of September would be the end of Q3. So fingers crossed

With freight, the 2021 CTR LE is $56,400 CAD.

Honda Canada CTR:
2021 $48,001
2020 $45,491
2019 $43,490
2018 $42,890

The price increase for 2021 is outlandish. Also, the 2021 CTR in Canada is limited to CW and PMM. I was set to buy a 2021 CTR in the Spring, that is no longer happening unless they are going for $4500 below MSRP. Even then, I'd have to settle for a colour that I don't like. There's a couple of 2020s in my town in my favourite colour that are available now for $44K but I'm not ready to buy yet.

Confused. 2021 increase is outlandish but its <1% more than the 2019 to 2020 increase. And if there wasn’t an increase for 2021, the MSRP would still be $2k> than what you say that you are willing to pay.

Post up where cars are available for $1.5k back of MSRP as there are other Canadians looking to buy now.

I'm not sure how you're calculating that <1%. The 2020 to 2021 increase ($2510) is 25% more than the 2019 to 2020 increase ($2001). The Canadian MSRP of the car has gone up over 10% in 2 model years.

While the 2019 to 2020 increase was $2K (or 4.6%), at least the 2020 had some revisions and additional content included with the car. The 2020 to 2021 increase is another $2510 (or 5.5%) for the exact same car.

Err, you just calculated the <1% increase (5.5% vs 4.6%).

Agree that the last two years base price increase is a lot, but the car continues to be in high demand and Honda seems to be trying to take advantage of this.

I guess I'm going to have to buy in AZ. California dealers are acting like this is the rarest, most hard to find car on the planet. A dealer in LA wouldn't even give me their markup unless I walked in to their LA dealerhsip (I'm in the Bay Area!)

AZ is looking good!

They are capitalizing on the fact that the inventory for CTR is low. This doesn't justify the markup but is unfortunately the practice for many dealerships.
