Well, drove the GT350 all last summer. Bought it with 5200 miles and sold it with 10010. What a crazy car.
Revisited the F87 M2 Comps and e92 M3 market. Didnāt want to pay close to MSRP for a Comp so picked up this. And the Golf R is due in April (supposedlyā¦.been waiting since Jan 2022).
Might want to include all expenses when talking about transactions. A 2021 CTR MSRP was ~$39k. TT&L and dealer fees adds, what, $4k (some assumptions as to paying MSRP, your tax rate, etc.)? You paid dealer and T&L again on the WRX (some states allow the transfer of plates). Oh, and about no...
Nothing wrong with getting a new car but when you are selling and inferring that the $278/month lower payment is material to you....but your wife makes bank and the new car is for your kids...
You opened the door for financial feedback (in this and your other thread)...
While I certainly understand that you are in a situation where cash flow is important, getting a new car and paying MSRP (or MSRP +$2k since your other thread stated you were going to be $19k OTD), is unlikely the way...
Sorry to hear about your car being stolen.
My understanding is that in a lease, the bank who leased you the car is the āownerā and is entitled to the full insurance payout. If the payout is less than whatās owed, you must make up the difference. If the payout is greater than what is owed...
Have a set of Type R OEM wheels (wheels in excellent condition, tires need to be replaced), new OEM floor mats, and Covercraft sunscreen (good used condition) for sale. Listed on Craigslist or reach out to me via civicx if interested.
Thanks
My CTR had 15k miles with one winter on Blizzaks so not sure of the mileage. Regular rotations. Both fronts were shot with the drivers side showing cords in the inner shoulder. Sold the car so I didnāt bother with an alignment.
Yep. Each drive is certainly is an experience.
Bummer re your car. Those 2020 HE's appear to be trading at silly $$.
Thanks. It's all about having fun...
Lot's of great performance choices out there. I've owned a fair number of european performance cars and cars like the GT350 are...
Thanks!
Ya, itās pretty amazing.
Thanks Doug. Very fortunate.
Haha. I guess Iāll have to start going to C&Cāsā¦. The car does seem to encourage hoonigan behaviorā¦
While waiting for a new Golf R (one guy in front of me at my local dealer), I went is a slightly different directionā¦. 2017, one owner, super pampered, never driven in the rain, 5200 miles.
We bought a new 2022 for MSRP last month....
Nope. Automakers are so operationally leveraged that they need to have higher production. The manufactures that produce crappy cars would love the current environment to continue...
The M40 is a great choice but itās around $63k. The X3 30 X drive with the M Sport package looks almost identical to the 40 but has the 4 cylinder and runs about $55k. If it was my dd, I would want the 40ā¦. Would likely have to order either one.
