  1. Loved the CTR but moving on…

Ya, 4L V8, 8400 rpm redline, max hp of 414 at 8300. But not a lot of torque.
  2. Loved the CTR but moving on…

Well, drove the GT350 all last summer. Bought it with 5200 miles and sold it with 10010. What a crazy car. Revisited the F87 M2 Comps and e92 M3 market. Didnā€™t want to pay close to MSRP for a Comp so picked up this. And the Golf R is due in April (supposedlyā€¦.been waiting since Jan 2022).
  3. Well it happened today the type r is gone.

Might want to include all expenses when talking about transactions. A 2021 CTR MSRP was ~$39k. TT&L and dealer fees adds, what, $4k (some assumptions as to paying MSRP, your tax rate, etc.)? You paid dealer and T&L again on the WRX (some states allow the transfer of plates). Oh, and about no...
  4. Well it happened today the type r is gone.

Nothing wrong with getting a new car but when you are selling and inferring that the $278/month lower payment is material to you....but your wife makes bank and the new car is for your kids...
  5. Well it happened today the type r is gone.

You opened the door for financial feedback (in this and your other thread)... While I certainly understand that you are in a situation where cash flow is important, getting a new car and paying MSRP (or MSRP +$2k since your other thread stated you were going to be $19k OTD), is unlikely the way...
  6. Sad day today

    Enjoy the car!
  7. Sad day today

    But all in at $125k.
  8. Sad day today

Beautiful car but holy sh$t, $116k for an M4....
  9. FK8 stolen

Sorry to hear about your car being stolen. My understanding is that in a lease, the bank who leased you the car is the ā€˜ownerā€™ and is entitled to the full insurance payout. If the payout is less than whatā€™s owed, you must make up the difference. If the payout is greater than what is owed...

  12. Who is going to trade in for the GR Corolla?

I have never owned a Toyota and will never own a Corollaā€¦.
  13. Unusual Tire Wear? Anyone Else Have Wear Like This? Original OEM Continental Sport Contact 6's

My CTR had 15k miles with one winter on Blizzaks so not sure of the mileage. Regular rotations. Both fronts were shot with the drivers side showing cords in the inner shoulder. Sold the car so I didnā€™t bother with an alignment.
  14. Loved the CTR but moving on…

Yep. Each drive is certainly is an experience. Bummer re your car. Those 2020 HE's appear to be trading at silly $$. Thanks. It's all about having fun... Lot's of great performance choices out there. I've owned a fair number of european performance cars and cars like the GT350 are...
  15. Loved the CTR but moving on…

Thanks! Ya, itā€™s pretty amazing. Thanks Doug. Very fortunate. Haha. I guess Iā€™ll have to start going to C&Cā€™sā€¦. The car does seem to encourage hoonigan behaviorā€¦
  16. Loved the CTR but moving on…

While waiting for a new Golf R (one guy in front of me at my local dealer), I went is a slightly different directionā€¦. 2017, one owner, super pampered, never driven in the rain, 5200 miles.
  17. Prices going up higher for the CTR!

Isn't that the old version of the WRX? In normal times, that car would be back of invoice right now.
  18. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

Coworker just bought (ordered) a new 4 Runner TRD Pro at MSRP. There was ADM on any Pro that had available but MSRP on any order.
  19. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

We bought a new 2022 for MSRP last month.... Nope. Automakers are so operationally leveraged that they need to have higher production. The manufactures that produce crappy cars would love the current environment to continue...
  20. If you were going to sell your Type R for an SUV, which would you consider?

The M40 is a great choice but itā€™s around $63k. The X3 30 X drive with the M Sport package looks almost identical to the 40 but has the 4 cylinder and runs about $55k. If it was my dd, I would want the 40ā€¦. Would likely have to order either one.
