If I'm not mistaken the factory tune is uploaded to the actual KTuner unit itself. As long as you can access the account associated with your KTuner then I believe you can access it via other computers. However, your saved tunes on your computer will not transfer over unless they were uploaded to the KTuner unit. Think local saved files on your computer.holy... just flashed mine with the stock tune, and GOD DAMN, the post was no lying, it really makes it feel soo alive!!! Not sure if anyone knows but, I flashed mine using my parents old laptop. I was wondering if anyone knows, in the future, if they threw out that exact laptop, will I have issues flashing it back to factory? (as in did it save my data when flashing it onto the laptop) If so, does anyone know where I can retrieve the files so Id have it from the laptop?
You upload the factory tune as the first step in the flash process that way you can always reflash back to stock. I know not ECUs use the same factory tune even if they are the same model. It depends on the VIN I think but don't quote me on that part.
The default KTuner directory for me is under Documents on my computer. It should look something like C:\Users\Civic_Rob\Documents for other .kcl (saved tune files) if you have them.
