In terms of reliability and safety...
First off, I don't think Hondata or KTuner would implement the artificial knock rise removal feature if it was inherently unsafe. But here's a simple truth about tuning and reliability/longevity...
While there are exceptions, tuning reliability mostly involves two body parts. The brain and the right foot. And I'm being serious here. The same car, tuned the same way, driven by two different owners could have drastically different lifespans.
I don't think the artificial knock control rise removal is safe or unsafe. It will be as reliable and safe as the nut behind the wheel. I mean, if someone thinks this feature means they can all of the sudden drive their car like a racecar, they're in for a rude awakening.
On the other hand, driving like a non-maniac should be just fine.
