The rear of the new accord reminds me to the 2002 accord, I prefer the new civic, a lot of admired glances for the new civic, the interior is also better with a touchscreen system like a tablet.

What is the safer car? Civic or the accord?
They're both equally as safe considering they've both earned top safety pick plus in the IIHS crash test. Good evaluations for small overlap test, and superior crash prevention when equipped with Honda Sensing. You can make the case that the Accord is better because it's bigger and heavier? LOL

Yep! And NHTSA has finally tested as well, with 5 stars all around - even for rollover risk, which most cars in the class only get 4/5 stars in - http://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle+Sho...Newer+Vehicles/Vehicle-Detail?vehicleId=10558

Do you know if there's a way to view of list of all cars that got all 5 stars?
I'm at work so I can't play around on their site at the moment, I just went through some others out of curiosity for comparison purposes.

Here's a little intra-brand comparison as we take a look at the 2016 Civic against the 2016 Accord.

civic-accord.jpg

The price difference between the Civic Touring and the Accord Touring is what got me, 8 thousand less for a Civic that feels darn similar, looks darn similar especially in the nose.
8 grand is a LOT of money, could buy another decent used car for that price lol
Needless to say the Civic Touring won me over hands down no contest.
And FYI, the Accords are also having the same infotainment issues we are, so buying one would not save you from that.

If Honda added a few things to the accord sport I would be all over it... Kind of wished it had all the bells and whistles of the EX and kept the sport look...

My car has to be white with black interior....

Your 0-60 mph for the manual v6 is off by about a second.

C&D
Zero to 60 mph: 5.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.4 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 20.0 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 6.0 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 8.4 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 8.1 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.0 sec @ 103 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 132 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 186 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.85 g
Those times do not make any sense.
So the car can get from 0-60 FASTER than it can from 5-60?
Also, look at the 30-50 and 50-70 times.. wtf?

The 30-50 and 50-70 times are definitely wrong. No doubt about that.

BUT. 5-60mph test is correct. It's a rolling start test... that means they let off brakes and let the car power itself to 5mph without hitting the gas. So 5-60mph tests are always slower than 0-60 tests which get on the throttle right away. It's to mimic how people would drive the car in the real world, red light turns green, let up off the brake car coasts forward a bit before people get on the gas.
