Great read, thanks for sharing!

Basically accord has a smaller turbo, different injectors, and tweaked tuning.
And also no balance shafts on the Type R crankshaft whereas the 2018 Accord will have them (more rotating mass and lower RPM redline but a smoother engine for daily commuting duties).

Its simply amazing to see two autos with the same VTEC phasing engine tech but have totally different personalities, purposes in their own form and function represent the Honda Family. One a refined throwback six speed manual gearbox for the family fun sedan amplified while the lil brother civic hatchback on steroids blaze the track with aero kit atop stellar suspension being pulled by that k20 bigger turbo .
