Too close to what we have now. Even if they gave it a modest performance bump,(this is Honda after all)I dont see that rendering exciting anyone. The styling of the FK8 is part of its charm, another bigger variant with large similar profile and water down looks would be Honda mailing it in and resting on its laurels.

Its a Volster and if that render was even close... to me looks worse then what we have now not better.

I really like the render, I personally think it looks really good! I do like the new headlights, and front bumper design.

I think back to the Preludes. They had 1 generation (the 4th) that was 'different' then they went back to a more traditional style with the next. Perhaps the FK8 is that one 'different' gen?

I don’t even have a type r and think this looks bad and a step down in design. Doesn’t even look like the aggressive monster we love now. I’m certain Honda will do it justice though. Still think the 10th gen civic line (more post refresh) is the best gen.

Me too, love it, I would buy that. Don't want it to be bigger though. It's already big.

I don't think Autoexpress has any more clue than we do, we don't even know for sure if that's the next gen Type R.

It looks too much like an Accord because they used the current Accord headlights in the render. It also looks too long. Again likely because the render is based on an Accord image.

I just want to call out that, the new generation 11 Civic is coming out in MY 2022.
Type R normally launches one year later. This means, the new Type R should be MY 2023. So essentially it's another 2.5 years away ~

I love the wider, longer, lower looking body but the front end is just meh or even ugly looking.

So you type r guys are basically going to get the 9th gen treatment then. Or rather, they're just gonna make an Accord variant.

I heard a radio advert for Honda and they said every Honda by 2022 will be hybrid or electric.
