  1. 2018 Civic Si Trade in or private party resale value

That's not bad - your car is going for $27-28k from places like Carmax, so their $22k offer makes sense.
  2. Massachusetts Winter set: Rial Bavaro 17x7.5 mounted with Nokian Hakka R3 in 215 width.

These are available again, while we are home for vacation. Will accept $400.
  3. 10th gen Si vs 11th gen Si...My ownership experience.

It sucks cause there are some features I want and none of the entire Civic/Integra lineup has them all: hatchback (without the super long Integra body) Rear armrest LSD Nope, there’s no combo has all three. The closest is the 6mT Integra A spec but it looks huge and blobby. I like the look of...
  4. Edmunds Civic Si comparison, 10th vs. 11th Gen

10k mile update says it's not very popular. Hard to say if they mean compared to 10th gen. I was perfectly happy with the performance/fun of my 2020 Si.
  5. Current market value of Si

You can buy it for $17,500? based on what Carmax is asking for 2020 Si’s, $29k or so, they might offer $23k for one, depending on mileage.
  6. Tracking for the rest of us

So true, I did 10 track days in a '95 325i (189hp). I never felt like I needed to mod the car, other than tires and brake pads. It's the driver who makes the car go faster. I had a very skilled BMW driver drive the car at Mont Tremblant circuit for me - it felt like he had added 100 hp to the...
  7. How much actual improvement with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S over Pilot Sport All Season 4

I had AS3+s on my 2017 Civic Sport hatch, was not impressed. They sucked in snow too, just compromised like all all-seasons. Also summer tires are generally great in rain cause the stiff sidewall helps channel water. All seasons aren't better in rain. The benefit is in cold weather - at...
  8. my 2020 Si still on sale at Carmax 4 months later at $30k

I used to check regularly, back in 2021 they were offering $27k for my 2020 and selling similar ones for like $31-32k. So they have dropped the offering prices, but not the selling prices. The used car bubble has made them very greedy.
  9. my 2020 Si still on sale at Carmax 4 months later at $30k

My car has twice disappeared and reappeared a couple weeks later at a different Massachusetts dealership. Carmax stubbornly refuses to drop the price, so it's been on sale 4 1/2 months now (was initialy $32k but has been $30k asking for 2 months now). They paid me $24,600 for it in late July...
  10. 1.5T 6MT mpg?

My real world gas mileage: 2017 Civic Sport hatch 6mT = 37 mpg (70% US highway) 2020 Civic Si = 35 mpg (70% US highway) 2023 Focus ST-Line X = 17 mpg (almost 100% bumper to bumper Taiwan traffic). Wow I really appreciate the Honda 1.5T now. The Ford has a 182 hp 1.5L 3 cylinder turbo, rated...
  11. Type r values are dropping

Can someone take my 2020 Si off Carmax's hands? I sold it to them in July, and it's still up for sale (at $5400 over what they paid me). They were asking $32k, but dropped it to $31k and it's been $30k for a month. https://www.carmax.com/car/23091823
  12. What's your SI looking like today?

L that’s awesome! There’s no 10th gen Civic in Taiwan right? I saw a 10th gen Type R in Taiwan today, must be an import like yours.
  13. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+

I had them on my 2017 sport hatch cause I couldn't find any good summer tires for it. I wouldn't buy them again, it's a lot of money and they sucked in snow, so not sure I see the point.
  14. Tire Suggestions for 2020 Civic Si 2-Door Coupe

There's a wide variety of snow conditions, some are pretty easier for tires like the AS3+ I had. Like when it's really cold the snow gets hard and brittle and is easy to drive on. Fresh snow is also pretty easy. The AS3+ struggled on the cold slushy type conditions we get a lot in mass, where...
  15. Tire Suggestions for 2020 Civic Si 2-Door Coupe

I had the Pilot Sport all seasons on my 2017 hatch, they were pretty useless in the snow, almost as bad as the Eagles on the 2020 Si. They might be ok in Utah though, I was in Massachusetts.
  16. 2020 Civic Si to 2022 Focus ST Line X

Test drove the Focus today and we bought one. :D $28k, thanks to a soaring US dollar. The car drives awesome, very comfortable but great steering, a real driver's car. What a shame we don't get them in the US. 8 speed auto only in Taiwan. I kept looking for a clutch pedal. :(
  17. 2020 Civic Si to 2022 Focus ST Line X

everything seems normal and people don’t seem concerned at all. But it’s still Covid crazy, we had to quarantine after arrival and everyone is masking even outdoors and in school. It sucks.
  18. 2020 Civic Si to 2022 Focus ST Line X

Taiwan’s east coast has some incredible roads, think I should get something fun to drive. Glad it’s left hand drive.
  19. 2020 Civic Si to 2022 Focus ST Line X

It does, but it looked like this before Kia did lol. Apparently the Focus is the #8 vehicle in Taiwan, I’ve been seeing a lot of them. There’s very few sedan/hatch choices here, especially under $40k. Everything is CUVs.
  20. 2020 Civic Si to 2022 Focus ST Line X

Yeah my wife and I were like “I can’t believe we’re in Taiwan and walking into a Ford dealership.” it does have a ton of features, like the rear view mirror shows a front or rear camera image and automatically records video for you. And it has a 675W B&O stereo, no idea if it’s any good.
