Prototypes have been spied undergoing performance testing at the Nurburgring race track in Germany with a rear wing fitted, but Auto Express understands that this won’t appear on the concept or production model. Instead, a more subtle spoiler will be preferred – although an aero package could be made available as an option.
Looks great. Although I'm surprised the big rear wing is gone.

I don't believe it. Why does it look nothing like the test mules? Looks like a render from some random guy.

Interesting. I like the idea of toned down design from the Euro CTR, but I thought the camo prototypes were looking great (hood scoop included.) Aside from the red accents, this looks pretty much exactly like the standard hatch. I would not be surprised if the launch of the 10th gen CTR was not until September of 2017, but I sure hope it doesnt take that long to roll out. The increase in HP/TQ numbers are also interesting if they plan to keep it FWD. I'm all for a more potenent variant, but that also makes me think that the price tag just went up. I'm starting to think more and more that the CTR will be $35k+ MSRP when I originally was thinking between $30-$35k.

I'm thinking this is the 201 HP Euro Sport model. Basically Europe's version of the Si with a little less power.

It's likely we won't get this in hatch form, unfortunately. Or if we do, they may lend some of the aero and wheels for the USDM "Sport" trim. But retain the 174 HP USDM motor.

Contrary to popular belief, the larger rear wing from the prototype CTR is highly functional. And I would expect that to carry over to the production model in some form. Refer to write-ups on the Evo and STi wings and how they maintain downforce at track speeds.
