Ha, I met that guy when he followed me into a gas station off hwy 64 in Cary. His name is William Gurley & he races a bunch up at VIR. He is a baller & has a bunch of track cars; the CTR is his street car. Nice fella & even sent me some emails inviting me to some open sessions at VIR where...

Good call. Dremel really is a must have. It has fixed many problems for me that would have been WAY tougher without. The diamond cutting wheel is expensive, but will easily cut just about anything (including porcelain tiles!)
Yep, just unscrew the bottom portion by hand. It does have fine threads, so I run a wet rag over them to keep any contaminants out, then screw back on carefully as to not not cross thread.

So you also have an aftermarket BOV installed that is contributing to the sound on those clips? Just want to be clear that the sound is not all due to the HVIS? I didnāt see a BOV in the engine bay pick, so just want to confirm. Thanks!
Iām also wondering if itās loud under lower loads or just when pushing the throttle? My Mishi is pretty quiet and you can only hear it under heavy throttle. Even at that I would not say itās loud, just audible. Breaking necks sounds kinda loud. Looking forward to installing this thing.
I went with the Mishimoto catch can and check it every oil change. Both times it captured between 1-2 oz of oil. Not a lot, but rather have it in the catch can than coating my intake valves. Seems like a no-brainer to me as well, but to each his/her own.
Waiting for the PRL HVIS to arrive before installing these, so decided to wrap in high-heat (1,500 degree) insulating tape for a little extra help keeping the intake charge cool. The pretty gold stuff didnāt stay put in the other places I used it, so trying this stuff.
Just curious with a question for you guys with the gap on the turbo inlet pipe. Did you try leaving all the bolts for the air box loose, push the silicone tube flush, tighten the clamp & then tighten up the air box bolts? I'm guessing there is some play here, but not sure.
I just received a shipping notification for the charge pipes & will deliver Monday. Won't be installing until the HVIS arrives to get it all done at once. Hopefully the Ti crossover & inlet pipe will be done before the HVIS arrives.
I've been waiting for someone to post pics of this mod as I've been hesitant to spend that much $ without seeing it first. I know a lot of people say this and it is over used, but completely appropriate here: this is exactly how it should have come from the factory. Practically the...
