Anyone else sick of hearing about random rumors they've heard from salespeople at dealerships? Honda has already said they are releasing info on the 2020 Type R soon. We need to be patient.
I know it's difficult to wait for the news but all this speculation about it suddenly not happening is...
New hatchback details released today:

Hoping for Type R info soon!
Very nice! I daily a 2017 Tacoma Off-Road. It’s a great truck and plan on adding a 2020 Type R next year. I think they will complement each other well!
Nah my deciding factor has been mostly saving up the funds. Buying a 2019 and then liking the 2020 more was something that crossed my mind. I’ve waited this long what’s another 6 months?
Not real carbon fiber. The faux plastic they use throughout. With the rest of the car being so busy it would be good to draw attention away from the vents.
And 3300 for 2018. And another 6000 the following year. Whatever you need to justify your impulse purchase. I've been following every detail about the CTR for 2 years and I've known the tires would only last 10,000 miles for quite some time.
Just like not researching the tires you also didn't research the fact that ADM will be temporary as Honda releases more of the CTR. This will not be a super rare car despite what your dealer told you.
The tires should last 10k miles as long as you're not tracking the car. By my calculations...
I'm going to hold off for the craze to die down and see what the market looks like in 2018. I can be patient!
I just bought a house so I'll probably be in a better position financially next year. I refuse to sell my S2000 to fund a CTR purchase so for now I'll just enjoy driving that. Hopefully...
I don't know what you expected to happen. This forum is full of people who are interested in a Type R but have not actually driven one yet. It's a brand new model! All we know is what journalists have told us and from reading a specification sheet.
People have given you solid advice. Wait for...
I'm from northern WA and I may know which dealership you are going with (it's the one closest to me). They wanted $5K markup on their red one which they said is sold. I told them I'm not really in a position to purchase at the moment and will wait until the ADM is done.
Would love to check out...
What I want to know is 1/4 mile time. We all knew 0-60 would suck. I have a feeling it will reel in the STi and RS in the 1/4 mile considering it's 350 lbs lighter than both.
Not affordable but the Volk Racing ZE40 are a good option. They make them in 18" and 19" that will likely fit well. You may need to step up to the legit wheel arena for a car of this caliber.
I'm pretty happy with the styling except for one area. I absolutely hate these vents and feel like they don't fit the rest of the car. Why couldn't they just be one solid opening instead of 4 separate ones?
I'm not PS expert but this is what I was thinking:
While I was intrigued with the idea it has been confirmed by Sage Marie that it will NOT have a CVT and only be offered in a 6 speed manual.
