Curious to know what other owners see in regards to their oil levels when read hot vs cold.

For example, on your dipstick, where is your oil level following the directions in the owners manual (reading oil level after turning off the engine and waiting 3 mins) vs when the car has been sitting overnight?

For me, I see my oil level basically at the very top hole after sitting overnight. Reading after 3 mins gives me an oil reading about halfway.

I find when the engine is hot, the 0W20 oil immediately flows down the stupid orange dipstick.
What I do is leave the engine cold overnight. Start the car for 30 seconds. Turn it off, and wait about 3 minutes before checking.

Oil level difference after start versus before start is about halfway between the marks, on my car at least. So same as you
