How do you get the metal out?
How do you get the metal out?
Full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning of every component followed by a complete rebuild with whatever parts that show damage.
If you have that much metal in the oil the engine is junk as it sits.

Luis, from your replies here I thought the low oil light was a brand new issue. Then I found this from two months ago. Maybe the low oil pressure and this recent milky oil are two different issues though.

https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/blown-head-gasket.83781/post-1257699

Now let me preface this by saying while I know a lot about tuning and over the years have worked on my cars, I'm not a mechanic. In the linked post above you mention the low oil light came on 6 days after you had the new gasket installed. Could that issue (which in reality isn't a low oil level but a pressure issue) be due to a bad install of the head gasket?

Then again I wonder if those rattling noises you mentioned are due to a failing oil pump. This needs to be towed to a mechanic like @msfsx1 wisely said.
The weird part is that the rattling noise stops when the "check engine oil level" light goes away

After doing some Googling I take that part back but given your previous post with the video I still think that it is (and equally hope that it's not) metal in the oil.
But where did the metal come from?

Got a magnet handy because that looks like metallic glitter.
Coolant intermix is typically all one even mocha colour by the time it’s in the engine for any length of time.
The odd thing is that the metal noise goes away when the "check engine oil level" light goes away

Engine swap or getting the new 2023 Si are my options considering those two options for now.

Looks like engine bearings, Main bearings and or rod bearings. Motor should be knocking, looks pretty bad. Good luck 😬
Knock control on ktuner says 49 consistently

First step, no more chit chat ... have it towed to your mechanic of choice asap. To my knowledge no one posting in this thread so far is a certified mechanic.

From that video it sounds like a bottom end noise, it's definitely hurt if there's that much glitter in the oil. Honestly at this point driving it is not a good idea. If that started out as a spun rod bearing, continuing to drive it will end up with a window in the block.

A spun bearing will cause low oil pressure, the pcm will likely give you the low oil warning because of this. As far as I know these don't have an electronic level sensor, it only monitors pressure.

It’s definitely water in the oil. Condensation is highly unlikely. Has the engine warmed up fully since your last oil change? It’s a head gasket 90% sure.
