I AM FROM MEXICO, I HAVE A QUESTION FOR PRL, DO YOU RECOMMEND A BOV? WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE? XS OR TURBOSMART?

THEY ARE THE BEST APPARENTLY ON THE MARKET.

The top 10th gen tuners will tell you stock is the best choice. It will give you the best engine operating conditions. BOVs tend to cause fuel trims to go rich which over time can cause issues.

Of course some owners here will say "I have a BOV and my car runs great". No one is saying on a day to day basis you'll notice your car running like crap. But long term, a BOV can cause driveability issues and damage to components.

You have to decide if the BOV sound increase is worth it.

And why haven't they made a properly working BOV?

A BOV vents to atmosphere. Our stock setup recirculates that air back into the intake stream and is taken into account by the ECU for calculations of how much fuel to add to keep the AFR happy.

It's not worth the amount of effort required to make it run 100% happy, just for some woosh noises.

Get an intake, you'll get some woosh noises.

The vehicle does not use a BOV, it uses a bypass valve. This has been talked about many times on this forum over the years.

I honestly thought my post (with a link to top 10th gen pros dissing BOVs) might nip it in the bud.

But nope. What is it with people not getting that BOVS are ass for our cars?

From now on I'm just telling people to search and read one of the other 114 BOV threads:
https://www.civicx.com/forum/search/5889388/?q=BOV&c[title_only]=1&o=date

Not an exaggerated number either. There really are 115 BOV related topics here.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm new to the subject, I've only had my Honda Civic for 4 months, yes.
Ok thanks

Torque solution is the same then? to remove it from my car.
