I am considering a change on tires and though I go ahead and update the rim too.
I have a PMM 10th Gen. and was wondering if anyone has this with picture to share?

Also, what is the weight on these rims - does anyone know? I tried searching but haven't found anything yet...

Currently on OE rim and tires and thinking about updating both rim and tires due to wear and tear.

That weight is for 18x8 +38
Anything more aggressive well be heavier

I generally think Tire Rack has the most accurate weight listings. They have the 18x8 at 26.75 pounds.

The only 2 sizes that will fit are the 17x7.5+40 and 18x8+38. Neither would be my choice.

The wheel is too heavy and has a lot going on to clean. The load index is very high and seems wrong. The load index would be 101.5 which doesn't exist and way more than needed for a 3,000lb car.

The enkei tsv in 17x9 for example is 2lbs lighter and 1.5” wider or it's like 8lbs lighter than this in 18x8.

The Enkei site has weights for each size.
Sort of. They list weights on most of their Racing and Tuning series wheels but not on the Performance series that this Vortex5 is part of.

Thanks all!

Due to the suggestions and share.... I am now considering the Boost 5 spoke rims in 17".
It is lighter but what should I consider?

7" (17 X7 5-114.30 38) or 8" (17 X8 5-114.30 38)

I am more then likely going to stick with 215/50/17 spec (o.e tire) so wondering....
Any huge difference in terms of performance from the 1" size difference on the rim? or its all mainly looks.... again this is the rim size not tire.

Personally, I'd do the 8" rim with the 215/50's. Some will say you'll have less rim protection from curbs compared to the 7"(true) but I think that extra inch of wheel will be good from a handling and stance point of view.

This will give you an idea of a 17x8 215/50-17 combo.

Fitment Industries has the 18x8 at 31lbs. Thats a heavy wheel with a lot going on design wise. There are definitely better and lighter wheels out there.

While I do love Fitment Industries, they have a lot of incorrect weights out there. They have a self-imposed requirement to list wheel weights, so a lot of them are just defaulted to a number like 29lbs or 31lbs.

The wheels I bought from them were listed at 29lbs but came in around 21 lbs lol
