I see people at the forum asking all the time if the aluminum pedals from the Sport and Si fit the "regular" models. The answer is a resounding YES.

Here are the instructions (including the part numbers for both CVT and manual):

But, there are a few things to keep in mind...

First of all you need the right tools. You'll need a drill, a pop rivet gun and some masking tape. If you don't feel comfortable drilling into your gas pedal or don't own a pop rivet gun, have a dealer install them. Also, the hole size you need to drill is an odd size (3.5mm) so like I did you'll probably need to buy a drill bit online. Some people have removed the gas pedal assembly to do the work, I just installed it in the car.

Mini DIY (CVT models):

The brake pedal is easy. Just remove the stock rubber pad and discard. Install the new rubber pad that comes with the pedals. Then put the aluminum pedal over the rubber aligning the holes (no drilling is required for the brake... the holes are already there). Then you just pop the rivets into the four holes. Warning: You will have to really muscle up on the rivet gun on the brake pedal.

For the gas pedal, you need to drill four holes in the stock pedal. First, tape the new aluminum pedal aligning it over the stock pedal. Drill the new holes with the 3.5mm bit. Then it's time to pop in the four rivets. These rivets go in very easily.

Admire your new pedals. Done.

Do you have a link or the part number? I definitely like the metal pedals a lot more than the rubber ones.

They're in the .pdf file in my first post.

I just did this mod. Was pretty easy other then the fact I hate using rivet guns. Looks great though!

For the gas pedal, i removed it for precise drilling..don't want to mess the gas pedal assembly due to limited room in the driver's footwell:

Just got these pedals in the mail. I will be using a 9/64 inch drill bit in place of the 3.5mm drill bit.

9/64 = 0.140625"
3.5mm = 0.13755"

Difference is 0.003" which is about as thick as a human hair.

The rivets expand when you pop em so this should be fine.

Did you have luck with a 9/64? 3.5mm are hard to find in stores

Yes worked perfectly.

Side note; the rivets included with the pedal set are black. The rivet gun can scratch the black off the face of the rivets if you are not careful. It's not a big deal but they look metal color where the black is rubbed off. Could probably put tape on the rivet gun to protect the rivet face when popping the rivets. Also I drilled my accelerator pedal in the car. It's easy to do since the pedal is plastic.

The pedals are a nice touch, dont feel any different under my shoe though.

It honestly can be done in the car without removing the pedal fairly easily.

Thanks. This isn’t even on my to-do list, but it’s relatively cheap so why the hell not. Have more pressing things to do first though.
