The philip is not cheap, was thinking that might last longer. Didn't even think of the brightness, was assuming the philip would be good stuff. Originally, I was just gona go with the Ebay kit, but they don;t ship to Canada. The one that did ship to Canada cost $13, plus another $14 shipping which was discouraging.

The Philips LED's are nice and I use most of them except for the sidemarker (they don't make amber 194), interior lights and 3rd brake light (need front during LEDs). Only non LED light left is the rear signal lights.

I use the following and they look awesome:

3rd brake light: Sylvania Zevo 7440R
L/R brake light: Philips Vision LED 7440 Red
Reverse light: Philips White Vision LED 921
Fog Light: Philips X-tremeVision LED Fog Lamp H8/H11/H16 - 2 Pack (12834UNIX2)
Interior Light: exLED Honda Civic, '13~ (Map, Dome, Trunk, License Plate) - you won't need the license plate lights. These are exact fit LEDS that fit the entire housing.
Side marker light: Sylvania 194A LED

I think I would use the Philips LED than the kits on eBay. Some of those have leds that fail after awhile (I've use them). The EXLed are the best but are $70. The iJDMToy next but they are currently $30. They go on sale though and I waited and got for $20. Seller confirmed they will periodically go on sale. Worth the wait and $7 increase in price in my opinion. Much brighter. They ship to Canada.

If anyone is interested, I tested the colour of the generic LED interior replacement bulbs as well as the daytime running LED lights and LED headlights tonight. As I suspected, these generic LED interior bulbs are way cooler than the advertised 6000K. I tested them with my SLR and they're actually a very cold 12,100K with a fairly strong magenta colour cast. It kind of looks neat in that futuristic blue light sort of way and I like it better than the stock bulbs, but it's not very pleasing to my eye. On a more positive note, the LED headlights are an amazingly neutral 5300K with no magenta or green cast (daylight is 5400K). The daytime running lights are a slightly warmer 4600K with a somewhat strong green cast, but these are meant to be seen directly and not to illuminate other objects so it's not a big deal. I didn't test the LED high beams, but I would expect they'd be the same as the headlights. I'm interested to test the exLED bulbs to see how they compare to their advertised 5000K colour temperature.

@cfukin This is the kit I bought from Amazon.ca which I believe is similar to the ones I've seen on eBay (and they obviously ship to Canada): https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B010HBI95O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It came to $35.40 with shipping. I also noticed that exLED supposedly has a Canadian distributor in Mississauga but I'm not sure if they're still active since their website isn't working. They have a phone number listed here: http://www.exledshop.com/about-our-company.html I might try calling them when I'm ready to buy - it would be nice to pick them up from a local distributor rather than have them shipped from the States. I think I calculated the exLED kit would cost around $116 CAD with shipping and conversion.

For what it's worth and am not sure about the accuracy but I pointed my camera approx 8-10 inches from the EXLed lights and got 5000k. Pointed directly at it a couple of inches away and got 6100k.

That sounds promising! What I do is hold a white piece of paper under the lights and point the camera lens toward the paper so that it fills the screen. That should give the most accurate and consistent colour temperature results. Or if you want to test how closely the lights match daylight, you can simply take a picture of the interior with your white balance manually set to "daylight" and see if the colours look neutral or not. Either way, it sounds like those lights are MUCH warmer and more daylight-balanced than these cheap generic ones. My camera only goes up to 10,000K so these lights are way off the charts and required a sampled custom white balance to get anything resembling pure white.

I just received my iJDMToy LED lights to replace the EXLed lights I moved from my 14 Civic to my 16 Civic. I am including pictures including generic leds for reference for those considering led interior lighting change. iJDMToy Leds are not bad for $20. I still like the EXLed lights but they are $70.

If you are interested in learning about how LEDs are measured, check out this video:

Most companies advertising their LED products at 6000K, are still quite a bluer than you may suspect, and definitely not 6000K FWIW

Just curious, with the EXled lights do they fade on our do they just turn on to full brightness? Also on the other side do they just turn off or fade out?

Edit: should say, the way the stock bulbs do it when you lock/unlock your car.
