NEW R owner here and just picked up from Carvana yesterday. This was not my first car from Carvana but my second one in two months. Needless to say THIS(Type R) was such a surreal buying and first drive experience, had to get creative and post about it. What are your experiences? Mine are as follows in the format for this thread. Which is:
You are having a Type R experience when:
The Caravana guy says "Based on what you are wearing you must have bought the Type R?" Even though what you are wearing is just a Spain practice jersey...in red, and the(the Carvana guy) has given out 50 plus cars that day, which he confesses to you later in the transaction.
"The guys did an extra thorough job cleaning this one since they knew it was being picked up today", says the Carvana guy as the car is lowered out of the vending machine and brought to the ground floor. He also feels it necessary to tell you about all the other fun cars that have passed through the dealership.
There are no salesmen at Carvana so the guy you are working with is just vending the car. But he seems genuinely excited to vend the car, but why, you think to yourself.
As you are leaving, he says, "...make a left out of here, there is an empty road which takes you to a giant cul-de-sac" . Wink wink is implied. You realize that the Carvana guy probably has driven your Type R before you have.
You accelerate and you think you are given it the beans, but the rev counter is only showing two green bubbles and you are no where near the limit.
The drive makes you sweat and your windows start fogging up, and not because any other reason other than just driving the car.
EVERY hatchback that passes you on the road just feels it necessary to growl at you.
You find a car cover in the hatch, the car has only been driven 700 miles...since 2017. A Civic X members words ring in your head, "Garage Queen". A term you have never heard before but now understand completely.
What are your type R experiences?
