No experience with anti-wheel hop mods on the Type R but I did everything in my power to eliminate it on my MK7 GTI: upgraded suspension, stiffer motor mounts, stiffer trans mount, dogbone insert, bracing, etc.
Result: wheel hop was significantly reduced and car handled like it was on rails BUT it was borderline unbearable to deal with as a daily. Way too stiff and too much NVH.......in fact, the car rattled like a helicopter and every pothole I hit felt like a nuclear explosion
Not discouraging anyone but just be aware going down the rabbit hole if your R is your daily lol cuz I was reassured by many that each mod was bearable......and they weren't for my daily.
