Sound Deadening of Coupe SI Rear Deck for better bass?

Question: Would sound deadening under the rear deck of the Coupe SI help bass response from the speakers (in particular the Premium Audio subwoofer)?

Not really. The stock system does not put our enough sound for it to matter much. People add insulation/deadening to stop rattles and noise mainly. Secondary you deaden panels in aftermarket systems to keep them from moving with the speaker output so more energy goes into producing sound.

It might help with rattle but a 8" infinite baffle sub in a 12 cuft trunk is not going to produce much bass regardless.
