Little upgrade I came up with. Fabric was cheap. Just took time and patience to get it right.

Hey man, was considering doing this with alcantara. How did you adhere the fabric to the existing piece? Did you wrap it all the way around to the underside? Looks fantastic

Was curious about how far the interior accessories have come in the passed few years. This thread was a nice reminder of how hungry people were for some solid CF pieces. I'm a carbon fiber addict myself lol.
I got a few pieces from revel but there wasn't any custom options. IF you haven't stopped by Carbon Sixth Element - Car Customization Online Shop ...its definitely worth a look.

Serious question, do people actually enjoy having gloss finish pieces in their interior (beyond the looks)? Especially common touch points like the door arm rest or around the shifter or the shift knob itself. It seems like with even a hint of sweat on a hot day it would get really uncomfortable to touch.

I have quite a bit of gloss carbon fiber and honestly, I never remember it getting hot to the touch at all. Of course if the pieces were metal, that's another story.

High gloss stuff on the dashboard is terrible. It just glares sun into your eyes, or reflects on the inside of the windshield (and side glass) and gets annoying very fast

The factory piano black was a good concept, but its not fun to try and keep clean and smudge free. Im in the middle of doing a full carbon replacement, the gloss on that doesnt bother me...its harder to see smudges on it and ceramic coatings help keep it clean.

Many people don't realize that, and refuse to believe that. The 3 main pieces trims are just fine in glossy finish because it's facing towards us.

Anything that are facing up like these is a huge mistake.
