The 9th gen is 5.1-5.5 depending on the source. The '13 VW Sirocco went 5.1 for R&T's test. That car weighs 3146, and has 266hp. Granted it has a DCT.....

17 model year is gonna be limited for sure. Honda can sell 18's in 17 but not the other way around. I'm looking forward for power bump in 18MY.

Honda does sell 16's in 17 so why couldn't they sell 17's in 18??

I could be wrong, but I believe Nissan's record of 7:29 was with a modified gtr, not stock. The '16 CTR beat the 7:50 time with a few things torn out, and I think he's trying to say the '17 beat it without taking stuff out

More likely the 7:43 GTR time, which still shatters the current FWD record. They may be holding off on the announcement until they drop all the specs; they may also be going for a clean sweep of all the European tracks, like they did with the 9th Gen.

If they let it go to soon, VW could build a special ring-runner again and steal their thunder.

Competition is a good thing! Figure - the Golf clubsport gets beat by the 'all stock' Type R. We all know Honda has at least 70lbs of AC, seats, sound deadening, and exhaust it could shed. They could also easily bump power output closer to 400hp (may take a bigger turbo but whatever), and fit some 265+ fronts and 295+ rears and have a 'CS' version of their own which would dominate all.

On to the real point, the original Fast and the Furious had little to no CG. A realistic story especially when compared to its predecessors. It actually was about street racing. Not sure what the new ones are about so much anymore stopped watching 5 about halfway through...

I'm pretty sure Paul Walker will be spinning in his grave at the Fast8...

Was just reading it this morning. Porsche did the test of 7:50 thus accusing it was impossible to achieve 7:29 unless nissan did it with semis, i.e not a real production car as in factory delivered.

But their record with 918 was also disputed with solid roof which wasn't factory option either.

So I take it as they were and are both lying.
