Thanks but I ended up going with Spoon springs and installed them months ago. I posted that prior to making the decision.

Still haven't done PPF or tint but plan to once the pollen stops. Who did your tint? Did they remove the lower wing to do the hatch or piece together two pieces?
Shade custom tint did mine for a little under 1/2 of what a place next door wanted and disassembled/reassembled everything with no complaints.

Anyone know of any local tuners/honda specialist indy shops around raleigh?

Just had my Spoon rigid collars installed with an alignment at Automotive Performance & Chassis in Cary, NC. Guys are good and work on a LOT of cars prepped for the track. Nick was who I worked with and he was very friendly. Only place I've found in the area (so far) that I would trust to do mods.

Thoughts on those collars, no brainer? I've been thinking about picking then up. How much did they charge for install if you dont mind

For me, yes, no brainer. It's not earth shattering, but totally worth it (again, for me.) Here is what I just wrote up over on the collar review in the suspension section:

"Got the front & rear set installed yesterday and with limited driving, so far, I am impressed. Have only done city driving & have not had a chance to push it yet, but just around town (normal driving) I can feel the difference. I'm not going to over sell it as I would imagine that some who are not as focused on minute details may not notice as much or think it was not worth it, but I'm really surprised how well the collars have tightened everything up. Think about all that is attached to your sub frames (motor, suspension, wheels, etc, etc.) Without a better way to describe it, everything feels tighter. Suspension, steering, shifting, listing/diving. I'm really surprised that there would be that much movement of the subframes, but makes sense that it tightens up everything. Even NVH is noticeably reduced. Good mod, thanks a bunch for the initial write up. Feels more like a sophisticated sports car."

The collar sets were $225 each, then the install & alignment was right at $300. 2 hours of labor, but this is one that I was not going to mess with on my own. Really should be done with a proper lift, screw jacks & alignment rack.

Seems great, any possible downsides? I'm trying to decide between finishing off my suspension setup with these or getting a tune first. I need to find someone local who's tuned that can take me for a ride

Only downside is cost & install. Done alone, it has great benefits. I imagine it would only be enhanced with every other suspension/chassis mod you would make.

Appreciate the feedback. Do you think this combined with a motor mount would be a great combo or would it add too much nvh for a daily

Afraid I can’t say about the motor mount. Never have messed with these before as I’ve heard they generally make NVH worse, not better.

Anyone in the Triangle trying to hit up Rides & Coffee this month on Sunday April 28th from 9a-12p? I spoke with the manager at Detail Garage Raleigh yesterday and he said if I let him know soon he can reserve X number of spots for us in the primary lot where the majority of people will be hanging. Apparently it fills up fast but Detail Garage would like to see some more Type R's out front their store. @RStoR @J35W2 @Ouhei have all expressed interest in getting a little meet together, granted this is a somewhat larger meet with different makes/models. Let me know if you're going so I can tell them how many spaces we'll need!

Is the 29th the correct date? (It's a Monday.) Thanks.

Crap!! I fly out at 9:34am on Sunday the 28th for a work trip to Orlando. Man, I'm bummed. I have not been to any kind of meet yet and got excited when I saw this. Sorry to miss out, but thanks a bunch for the invite/heads up. I really am down to make a meet-up, hopefully there will be more now that it's warming up. I could go Saturday the 27th if they want to change the whole meet just for me? :D;)

They have this meet on the last Sunday of every month so there will be other opportunities for you to come out!

I've been meaning to check it out one weekend. The owner was cool when I met him a while ago and he liked the car

Update: Car absolutely handles better. I'm quite surprised to feel how much "spring effect" was eliminated with the subframe after the collars were installed. Wheels are more planted, especially over uneven or bumpy surfaces. Very surprised that these improved so many different driving dynamics/aspects of the drivetrain & suspension. As usual, well done, Spoon.
