Very interesting product. Thanks for providing the pictures and links. This would be something good to try in a product.

I notice a lot of people complained about the adhesive and said it didn't stick well, even after cleaning the surface of the item they were sticking it too. Other's complained at how thin it was. It's still worth a try though.
If you referring to titanium wrap is very thin , but I’m very surprised how effective is , I’ve tried many others material , the dirán one I used for wrap the intake box , gold tape , reflective fiber glass tape , but apparently any reflective material helps but not too noticeable, instead this titanium wrap was the most efficient. Regarding the glue is not too good but in my case I have it for 5 months and still there .

Thought I'd give this thread a bump and include some details on the Sprint C-Filter Intake not readily available.

I purchased mine from Tegiwa Imports in the UK. They were having a Black Friday sell and I got it for $1,480 shipped. That was inline with Eventuri intakes at the time so I considered it a great deal. The unit cost has increased substantially, over $1,900 now, so I feel pretty lucky to have gotten it when I did. It took 4-5 weeks to receive it after order but otherwise the transaction was smooth.

The two halves are sealed by the rubber filter ring. You can see the left-side half has a small flat surface around the opening. This rests against the filter surface and is pulled snug when the two clamps are closed.

Weight
  • Being dry carbon it's really light. The pic below is with the above filter inside the intake. I changed some of the mounting components but never took an actual measurement with all those parts assembled. My best guesstimation for the full set-up, as I have assembled it, is approx. 900g or 2 lbs. That does not include the MAF sensor nor vibration mount bolt as those were excluded from the OE intake weigh-in too.
  • The OE intake, minus MAF and vibration mount bolt, was 2,647g or 5.8 lbs.
Pretty solid weight savings for an intake. Please note I did add some heavier items to this install so the weight savings could be slightly more in standard trim. I'll go into details further below.

Filters
The kit includes two different filters - P08 F1-85 and the P037. Per Sprint Customer Service, "For road and track use you can use the P08F1-85 air filter and for demanding conditions or dusty regions you have to use the P037." Here is a link to the Sprint Filter website that discusses the filters. Pics below show the see through difference in the two. The filters do not use oil and cleaning is said to be a simple compressed air blow off only.

Small Parts
For a intake this expensive the small parts were a bit lacking. Below is a pic of the contents. One of the MAF harness mounts is missing as I had already mounted it when this photo was taken. I've detailed my upgrades below.

Honda Civic 10th gen Sprint Filter Intake System 1651682898444

  • Coupler Clamps: The coupler is a basic tapered unit and the kit included two standard silver hose clamps to secure it. I wanted something cleaner looking so I purchased a 3" & 3.5" black T-bolt clamp from RacePartsSolutions. They just look better despite being overkill! I trimmed the 3" bolt down 15mm and the 3.5" bolt down 20mm to get rid of excess thread. I capped each with a 1/4" rubber vacuum cap to clean it up. I may trim them down a tad more later but I'm happy for now.
The kit also doesn't include clamps for the valve cover vacuum hose or purge solenoid
hose. I purchased a set of generic black spring clamps off Amazon that work great.
Honda Civic 10th gen Sprint Filter Intake System 1650844992459

  • Purge Solenoid Solution: The intake was designed around European cars which use a different purge solenoid configuration compared to the US, see diagram below. The Euro spec uses a single connection to the intake tract while the US spec connects in two locations, the intake tract and intercooler piping pre-throttle body. The kit included a simple plastic Y-shaped vacuum tee for this. I found this unacceptable and purchased an Earl's Performance 3/8" 3-way aluminum tee for the job. While I could easily have eliminated the intercooler vacuum line with a simple vacuum cap I wanted a more OEM+ look and choose to keep everything in place. Nothing was cut and it's completely reversible if needed.

  • MAF Harness: The kit comes with a spiral cable cover, two small MAF harness mounts, and two zip ties. I purchased some 1/8" split cable loom and properly covered the exposed wiring. The harness uses a rigid plastic covering in OE configuration and this has to be removed to fit the intake.

Here are the included harness guides bolted in place (sorry it's a bit blurry). Bolts were not included for mounting these so I purchased a pair of M4 x 0.7 x 10mm button head SS allen bolts with washers and locking nuts. The mounts allow a zip tie to pass thru them for affixing the harness. I ultimately decided not to use the locations pictured first below. Instead I used a single mount on the side of the arm as it positioned the MAF harness better in my case; ie. no rubbing on the vacuum lines. You can see this in the 2nd & 3rd pics. There was a mounting hole already here so the instructions provide no reference as to which to use.

Sound & Power
I won't be doing any back-to-back dynos and I don't have Hondata (yet) so I can't compare IATs. Here is a Test Drive video with a few accelerations.

it’s beautiful and rare but you shouldn’t have to buy hardware to install it. Pretty ridiculous. Curious to know if you can feel a difference though.

Sound & Power
My car is currently on jackstands as I'm test fitting my Varis Arising2 parts so it'll be awhile before I drive it. Doing a few free revs it sounds pretty stock. We'll see how it sounds once under load. I won't be doing any back-to-back dynos and I don't have Hondata (yet) so I can't compare IATs. For now it's just a beautiful part I love!

The hardware purchased was because I chose to make upgrades, not because the kit didn't include parts. The only items not included with the kit which are required were a single M4 bolt/nut ($1) and a single M18 hose clamp/spring clamp for the valve cover vacuum line ($0.50-$2).

The car is on jackstands for awhile so I have no driving feedback at this time.

What a waste of money,

You are only buying this because it "looks cool" :rolleyes1:

You would get the exact same results using the stock air box with a K+N filter in it

I can't believe people waste money on junk like this
My guy.. your comments always have me 🤣

I have the regular sprint air filter for the stock intake. I like that you can blow it out with compressed air. I just do it every 5 k miles.

In any case i love the dry carbon look.

my friend had one.. fitment was terrible.. not worth the money IMO
Given how much clearance the unit provides over the OE box I find this a bit surprising. Do you recall what exactly was terrible about the fitment? As you can see from the pics below mine has great fitment.

Clears the upper radiator hose well

Lots of clearance under the hood. The hood is latched but not completely closed here.

I have this intake as well, fitment is perfect and there is plenty of surrounding clearance. Also, I am using the Y vacuum tee and have had zero issues.

Saw this at Wekfest. It’s an absolutely beautiful piece. It’s definitely not something you see daily.

I was not even aware this brand/intake had existed. Never saw this thread before.
