The install can probably be done in under 2 hours. But there are a lot of steps and it’s tedious for sure. Here is the kit from Honda.

I will be doing this on a weekend one of these days...

Awesome to see I'm not the only one want this:D
I found that on the Insight kit, instead of just shinning at 1 point, it has 3 points on each side, but I look closer to the instruction sheet (from College Hills of course lol), the light assembly is shorter and smaller, I'd imagine the size is something like the light assembly in the illumination kit. While the kit made for the Civic only has one LED bar on each side, decision decision...

In the middle of the install. Kind of in 2 phrases. Don’t have a garage or driveway. So pulled the side skirts cause I knew I had to drill/cut into it. I took them inside the house and did the bracket install there.

The Removal and cutting takes at least an hour.

I also took my time while the side skirts were off and did a good cleaning.

I added these a while ago. Just use puddle lights off a rocket bunny kit and mounted them on my side skirt

The electronic part of the install takes over an hr too taking your time and making sure things are clean.

Overall, for what it is...probably would NOT recommend this. I like that it’s clean, it’s oem. And it works pretty well.

But it is definitely a hassle. It’s not necessarily a difficult install. But it is tedious and has a lot of steps...

use pliers to remove the rear seat. There is no other way to get good leverage to clip those clips togethe

There is a picture in there of the 2019 glove box light.

But breaking it up into 2 phrases where removal of side skirts happens before the interior electrical install is definitely recommended.

I would expect Honda dealers to charge 3 hours at least for this install. I would also not recommend doing it there cause I don’t want them to cut into my car. I trust myself more.

@bluehatch17 when do these light up, with unlocking the doors or when you open the doors?

When you press the remote or use the hands free unlock. The lights turn on. They turn on when you open the door also. They do NOT stay on with the door closed and car driving.

You say 2017+, why not 2016?
They'll fit all models of 10th gen. It's just that they weren't originally offered on the early models.
