I am looking at adding puddle lights to my side view mirrors or chassis trim, and trying to find the most usable method to enable/power them. There are a few older threads on civicx where the OP used the dome light circuit:

Also, 2019-2020 civics now have an OEM option installed on the chassis trim:

I would like the lights to engage on proximity of my FOB, but the honda EWD site was recently locked down and I never saved the wiring diagrams before they did so
Anyone have thoughts on tapping the proximity sensor? The other complication is that the lights need to disengage once the car is started or doors locked etc.
