Like has been said, you are most likely all good. You dont even want to know the overrevs Ive seen on track 😅

However, the ECU will record an overev in the system that the dealer can see. But unless you are in for warranty work related directly to the engine, you should be good.
I torched my warranty the day after I got the car 😂

Get the acuity shifter assembly, or at least a rocker arm and spring upgrade.

it's interesting that some people get overrev codes and some don't when going past redline. no codes?

Yep. I don't think that overrev code triggers a CEL per se. Like you said the code is permanently stored.

Also, I don't think it's a matter of just going "slightly past redline" that triggers it. It has to be a certain amount over redline. I don't know the actual rpm number though.

That's my basic understanding of it anyway.

They ECU may store the overrev info, but it may not warrant a check engine light. Might be something you need special Honda diagnostic tool to view?
don't think so. many people have pulled the overrev code from normal code readers.

i looked in the factory service manual and couldn't find anything about overrev codes or the RPM it's triggered at

I had rev limit set to 7500 before, triggered the code when I set the limiter, I think it’s around 7300.
