Hey guys!

2018 Honda civic vti hatch. Can I install paddle shift transmission? I noticed the steering head has accommodating holes. Is there any chance of making paddle transmission. Long stretch of an install

Let me know (:)

Pretty sure those holes with screws are holding in the airbag. I have been wanting paddle shifts to but haven't found a way.

Those holes have screws for the airbag. The back of your steering wheel does not have the holes required for the paddle shifters. At minimum you'd need to get the back tray for a paddle shifter steering wheel and the paddle shifters. I'm not certain that if you plug everything in the ECU will read the paddle shifters connected.

Also note that you are posting in the Type R forums too, you'll get better results in the general Civic forums.

If I was in your place, I'd trade in the car, but if you want to keep the car, ecu and tcm need to be swapped and steering column needs to be changed to accommodate the shifters and wiring. Would be a sub $1000 job most likely. Also shifter needs to be changed if you don't have "S" mode.

Just do a manual swap. Paddle shifters are pretty lame honestly. I rarely use it.
