If you find your trunk needs more force to close than would seem normal, check the latch bolts on

[Super Si]

the latch at the bottom of the trunk. Mine were loose and misaligned. Quite surprising actually. I really got tired of having to slam the trunk to close it-especially with the license plate on the top portion. Just pop the cover panel with a small flathead and adjust the 10mm bolts.
