I actually am really happy with my vehicle. Mine is pretty solid, no main rattles. I do get a clicking with the sunroof fully retracted, but that is about it. I dont have any speaker rattles as I did insulate the subwoofer and now its fine. My paint is fine, same for shifter, clutch and engine are all fine, No car is perfect that is for sure and there are some choices on aesthetics or options I would change for the model, but I am happy with this one overall.

A lot of you complained about E-brake, unfortunately it's now in most new cars and here to stay. In some cars it's automatic now, I recently had my dashboard changed in my Lexus, the loaner Lexus they gave me (a 2019 UX) had an automatic brake, as soon as you put the car in park the brake engages and when you put it in N or any other gear it disengages. This probably would not work with cars with MT

BTW, a 2015 I recently looked at has the manual parking brake

I have no problem with the electric parking brake but I could see the concern for the owners in colder states especially with a lot of snow the salt they put on the roads is terrible it corrodes everything no matter how much you flush the underbody of the car I’ve had manual parking brake cables brake on my cars because of the corrosion of salt now since I live in Florida I don’t have that problem anymore :)

My concern is that anything that automatically engages or disengages could work but might not. Meaning, what if it doesn't disengage when it should? What do we do? At least with something that is mechanical, it can usually be figured out and corrected. I remember the first car I had with electric windows and I left home with the windows down. The seats got wet because it rained and no one else had the key to turn it on so the windows could be put up.

Very true I’m not a big fan of making something simple more complicated such as a parking brake. But for the manufacturers it’s easier to run a wire loom than a separate cable and a lever just a button wire and a servo
But the manufacturers tell you it’s for more console space so they say it just easier for them to get the product out faster and cheaper. And let the consumer pay the price down the road

Only complaints for me are the delay for the infotainment system to be active and the annoying beeping when you walk away from the vehicle too soon before the auto locks lock the car.

i gotta raise the seat up .... A LOT
I'm 5'9" without shoes and my seat is cranked all the way up. Drove a CR-V from 2017 to 2020 so got used to seeing as much of the road as possible. I couldn't gangster lean if my life depended on it ? I'm super conscious while driving.

Probably the crunchy shifter... Can someone tell me if this has a negative effect with the transmission or something? new to this car stuff and my first time manual as well...
I can't help, but congrats on moving over to manual transmission ?? I know, I'm quite late to the party ?

Wow- are others experiencing this amount of noise? I mean i dont expect to have a recording studio of silence in the car, but i will be driving mostly highways miles in the 60-70 range daily. Anyone else can confirm their discomfort? Perhaps they are already deaf?
I've worked in a woodshop for 10+ years and have seldomly used hearing protection. With that said, I seem to have no interior noise problems ? my music volume is usually between 30-40 as well. When I hear about these interior rattles I literally have no idea what folks are talking about. I'll add that I have no issue at all hearing people speak. ??‍♂

I'm stuck on either clutch overhaul or AWD ? AWD it is, afterall I could get clutch done myself.

Barring expensive changes like going with a detuned Type-R 2.0 engine, a proper sub enclosure like the hatch has would be fantastic. Going to try making my own, but my fiberglassing skills aren't that great.

I commend the courage to try, and remember there is only one way to get better at it ? good luck ??
