This should come as a shock to no one by now, but another issue has come up with the LogR app. This one is not really Honda's fault, but I'm not optimistic it will get fixed since the FK8 is no longer in production. There is probably no funding left in the budget for software support.
For several months now, Google has been hyping up the next big update to Android Auto, codenamed "Cool Walk", which is supposed to modernize the AA interface (similar to Apple CarPlay GUI). It enables multitasking tiles in the main display as overlays. It would most likely require an app update to fix this.
Naturally once Google officially turned on this update last week, the first thing I did was check if LogR still worked. It surprisingly still works, but other apps appear overlayed on top making it difficult to see. Refer to screen cap below:
I already filed a report with Google, and contacted the app developer. Considering the niche user base I would be genuinely surprised if this gets fixed...
