Cracked Paint

while i was detailing my car this morning i noticed these small fractures in the paint right on the bumper meets the headlights, i can feel the cracks with my finger nail. i gonna have to bring this to the dealer next week hopefully i can claim it under warrenty.

You sometimes see that when the bumper pushed beyond what the paint flex additive is meant to withstand. That's in a weird spot though. Looks like a paint defect to me.

Very typical on cars with urethane fascias and steel fenders... i.e. every car lol

SOME difference is sometimes there, but that is very, very apparent.

That looks like it was already repainted.

well i just came from the dealership, they took pictures. i also went to a body shop to get an estimate. now i just gotta wait on their warranty person to give the go ahead.

just go the go ahead from honda that it was approved for warrenty. now i gotta wait till a rental is available so i can turn in my car

When the paint on my bumpers were literally peeling off, I got Honda to warranty it and they got me a free rental from Enterprise. You can probably expect a turn around of 3-4 days from when you drop the car off, and hopefully they make the paint match a bit better. Different materials yes, but it's a whole shade off.

yeah, the body shop that gave the estimate said its going to be a blend instead of just painting the bumper, so the front fenders are also gonna be painted so it looks uniform.

just got my car back from the bodyshop. i will post pics later when i get home. no more cracked paint and now the bumper blends alot better to the painted metal fenders of the white
