So the dealer I bought it from sent me an email for 21 point inspection? It's been 2 months and 1,700 miles...I don't know what to check other than VIN# and recall.

Should I bother?

Is this something they include for free, or are they trying to charge you for it?

I'd say if the latter, absolutely not. If the former, maybe, depending on whether you can get it in without disrupting your life too much. It's the kind of thing that if you aren't noticing any problems, and if you check some of the basic essentials yourself (fluid levels, looking for obvious tire damage, tire pressure), it can probably wait until your first oil change, at least.

Exactly this. Why would they offer a free inspection on a brand new car they just sold to you that they presumably inspected before they sold it? And if it's not free, why would anyone pay for an inspection on a brand new car they just bought that was presumably inspected before it was even sold?

What is the build number on your HU? Maybe they are pulling people in on that?

You don't want even a dealer touching your car more than needs to be done. From the factory all bolts are there (none missing) and everything is tightened to spec. The only advantage would be if some software updates needed to be installed, but hopefully that would've been done already.
