Anyone know of a oil cooler for the 2020? Doesn't seem to see anyone has updated their design to work with honda assist

Have you encountered cooling issues on the track already?

edit: I see your signature and list of mods. Carry on with the oil cooler hunt

just using previously known data that oil cooler l might help with cooling system working less

Everything I've read points to that as well. How extensive is the honda sight behind that cover, have you looked at it and compared it to what is needed to fit for an existing oil cooler? It might be small enough added tech that it could still fit, just an idea. Those bits are pretty easy to pop off from what I've seen. Then you could just compare to installation pictures and see what would fit.

Good luck!

Not sure what's behind the cover for the sensing on the driver side but the USR side mounted oil cooler sits well back very close the the front of the front wheel well. You might have to adjust some of the metal pieces you get and assemble to create the air duct to the oil cooler to make way for the 2020 sensor but it may not be that bad.. Hard to say without a pic of the sensor itself. If you find a pic you could always ask Jason at USR for an opinion..

winsanity324, great side by shots. I agree with you in that there looks like enough room for the oil cooler portion of the setup as they appear to be well well back from the sensor. It however, look like some minor cuts/mods would need to be made to the sidewall piece of the air ducting metal work (thin) depending on which oil cooler set up is installed. In the case of the Greddy it looks like the side wall venting might even be clear...

For comparison here is my 2018 with a USR side mounted oil cooler and duct work installed.

Notice that once the bumper is on there is less room for the air to flow through unless you pull the fog light(s) for track days. Still might be work arounds and may be worth pursuing if you are going to track or bump the power significanlty.

I've talked with a guy from the UK (they've had Sensing for longer than us) that installed a Mishimoto kit. The radar is right behind the passenger side fake grille. He said he was super careful to not mess with it during the install but it ended up giving issues that required the dealership to clear. Apparently they're super sensitive. Would not want debris/rain hitting it.

This. My Honda tech told me the same. They’re really sensitive and shouldn’t really be messed with at all haha

Removing the fog light is definitely an option like metal driver said. One of the FK8’s up here is running some ducting from the fog light instead.

Pulling the fog lights out is not that bad (2 screws per light after you pull the garnish off and then put back on). I use a zip tie to hold the wire harness in place. I was surprised at relatively how much more space it opens up to move some extra air through..

In the AUS market ours come with Honda sensing from Day 1. I'm running a HKS oil cooler on the right hand side behind behind the honda sensing box. I've just removed my fog lights (both sides for symmetry) and it works fine. Tracked my car on multiple occasions as well.
