Hello Guys,
I'm about to order a new Type R from the dealership.
But recently I have some doubts, mainly about the overheating issues.
I am not planning to take the car to a track, but I do like to drive sometimes fast and have some fun, do I have to be worried about this issue if I won't take the CTR tracking?
Thanx.

I use mine as a daily driver 25 mile each way going to work, comprised of highway, backroads, and a few stop lights/signs. Zero issues with overheating.

No problems. If you leave the car in direct sun for 8 hours in 100 degree heat you might feel a little soak, but overall you aren't going to meet overheating conditions on a daily commute. Where are you getting this worry from?

From all the posts on the forum about the overheating issues while taking it to the race track...

TBH, I think most of the overheating reports are overhyped. I'm sure during some extreme track sessions there is some heat soak, just as you would experience in all modern forced induction cars.

Under normal driving conditions, you will experience no issues. For example, I drove to Las Vegas, 8 hours each way. Outside temp read 110 degrees. I had absolutely zero issues with overheating.

So I'd say, if you want the car, get it. You'll have a lot of fun in it.

I dont think you understand how much abuse a car can take on the track. It isn't comparable to driving a car "hard" on the street. Highway pulls and dig races aren't going to cause your car to overheat.

you will never hit the amount of "abuse" the car takes on the track on the street.

I still recommend you to get a bigger intercooler but you'll be ok.

You will have no overheating issues on the street. Buy it and enjoy it! Don't think twice about it!

I drive in +100 degree weather in the summer.. 40 miles to work, couple fast food runs, I am pretty young so sometimes I can drive a bit foolish.... but I literally have never run into heating issues. I think you'll be fine!

I drive mine very hard for extended periods on mountain roads in N GA. Zero overheating issues or brake fade. Car is solid.

On a track, especially in hot weather, is the only place you're likely to see overheating.
