  7. Sold: SOLD!: OEM Type R wheels Powdercoated SATIN BLACK, 300mi TIRES (NJ Tri-State area)

I have a set of OEM TypeR wheels that I had powdercoated satin black. Wheels were perfect before powdercoating, I just wanted to get rid of the red ring. Work was done professionally by Vibrant Finish in Penndel, PA. They also installed the new all-season General GMAX AS05 in 245/35/20. I...
  8. Powder Coating Wheels

It will diminish the value of the wheels as they will become less pleasing to the masses. However, if you find that one buyer that loves the color you pick it may not matter. No, the wheels will not become less strong after powdercoating.
  9. That time a year already! Who has their CTR put away for the winter?

My daily is a 2003 Acura RSX-S. I daily it year-round, not just in the winter. There are some things I prefer about my RSX and others about the CTR. I like having both. So it's nice that I'm still daily-ing a "performance" type vehicle everyday. The gap really isn't that large.
  10. That time a year already! Who has their CTR put away for the winter?

Nope, not quite yet. Mine would normally be away around 12/1, but I got some all-season tires this year so I plan to keep it accessible until the first time they salt the roads. After that, it's away for the NE winter.
  11. 245/45/18 Winter Tires on a 18x8.5

I'd say that is the perfect size.
  12. Deleting Red Stripe on Ground Effects...

Alcohol wipe for sure. Pay special attention when you apply the pinstripe on the front lip where the sharp curves are (where the pokes out in the front). Make sure you aren't stretching the pinstripe or it'll continually pull up. It 100% won't last forever in any case. The 3M pinstripe I tried...
  13. Sonic Gray Pearl hood scoop fade?

My ABM has a similar issue maybe? My scoop isn't faded, but it has a different look than the rest of the hood. You can tell it was painted separately from the car. The metallics have a different look. They don't react to light the same as the hood. For example the hood was painted vertically and...
  14. Driver seat worn.

No. The OP's car is brand new. He was seeking info from owners of older cars asking about wear in that specific area. He wasn't saying his seat was worn.
  15. Red Striping

I can't think of anyway to cover the wheel stripe without paint/powdercoat. You may get someone to be able to wrap it, but even that I highly doubt. I powdercoated my entire wheel. Had to get rid of the stripe.
