Sound started yesterday. Usually when I push and release the clutch pedal there is no noise. I heard a clang yesterday (which I thought was a rock finding its way out of the brake dust shield) but then noticed that when I start releasing the clutch pedal, at the engagement point I hear a light...
I'm fine. Car might need a new rear bumper. I'm mostly pissed that it will have an accident on it now. Part of the reason I pulled the trigger both times was for resale value. I never expected it to appreciate but the depreciation being so low was a major factor.
I'll likely be going after...
Distracted driver. Idk what she was doing. I watched her in my rearview and her head was buried in the floor and she was digging for something. I beeped and she didn't look up, and rolled right into me.
I pay about $1300/yr with State Farm. They're typically pretty good with enthusiast cars. They'll usually cover mods but they may have and agent go out to you and check to make sure the car isn't a death trap.
another quirk I've noticed: old ladies will love you. I don't know what the deal is, but I live in a condo complex that is predominantly elderly people. I'm 27 and most of my neighbors are over double my age. There are six women over the age of 60 that compliment the car and ask me about it...
I daily mine in Connecticut. I got a cheap set of 18" wheels and some decent 225 winter tires. Handles the snow just fine, have yet to have an issue.
I love it as a daily driver. The seats are extremely comfortable for hours at a time. The smooth transmission with the auto rev matching and a...
I don't mind the stock tires, the issue I have with them is the 20" wheels.
I put S007A's on 19" wheels and I much prefer that setup (for the street, at least. I do not track my car)
Car is fixed at least as of now. Hoping it sticks. For the curious:
Code: P0011 VTC
They replaced two solenoids, Part #'s 15830-RPY-G01 & 15831-RPY-G01
wasn't the solenoid... they still don't know for sure what's wrong. I'm also hoping they don't have to tear up a brand new engine... I've had the worst luck with my Type R's lol
2019 Type R. Anyone want to take a guess at what's wrong? I should know tomorrow. Check engine light came on, and I got the prompt that the emissions system wasn't working and that rev-matching was disabled. I'm less than thrilled right now.
The dipstick sucks. I have to use a paper towel or napkin and hold it against the stick to actually check the level. Honda should offer a better one for sale, I can't believe how bad it is
I had this happen to me. Turns out there was a hole in my oil filter. Luckily I saved the engine by...
no, it resolved itself upon starting the car and has been fine since. if it happens again, I'll take it in. But there is no point bringing it there if I can't replicate the issue.
Did your 19 have a male/female extension from the factory? My 18 didn't, but my 19 came with a cable that goes from under the dash to the little phone space. I've been plugging into that instead of directly into the USB port
Following up in case someone else experiences this issue
The screen was frozen and blinking in accessory mode. I just went back out to the car for lunch, and upon starting the car, the issue has resolved itself, at least for now
The infotainment screen keeps going back and forth between showing the main screen and then a black screen. The screen does not work when you touch it, and the physical buttons don't work either. Holding down the power button doesn't prompt a reboot.
Any tips or should I take this to the...
For the price, I really like the 19" Motegis paired with the S007A's. It hooks better than stock and the ride is much more comfortable. I also have a lot less stuff getting stuck in my dust shield.
