I got a 2021 Civic Sport Touring and saw some nice TE37’s that would look nice on my car. The specs are 18x9.5 +22. Will these work on my car or look weird/not fit?

That’s an extremely aggressive fitment. I think you’d have a lot of poke, and it would definitely rub without lots of camber. On stock suspension, the most aggressive offset I can recommend on 9.5 width is around +38 and even that is really pushing it and may rub in the front on bumps and hard corners. +45 is definitely safe, and is what I run on 18x9.5 with 265/35R18 tires.

With -5 degrees camber and 225/35 tires sure. That’s an aggressive wheel even for a type r.

Would a 18x9.5 +40 be okay?

Yes, I think so. I believe I've read of other forum members running that wheel size and offset (or very similar) without trouble. It'll be slightly more outboard than what I'm running, but it shouldn't rub, depending on the tire sizing and model that you pick. Search around the forum to see what works. You can also compare fitment and sizing to your stock setup on willtheyfit.com

18x9.5 +38 with a concave face. 255/35 indy 500s. sitting about a finger width above the tire. stay away from the flat face or if you do go that route get them for cheap.
