Nice, mine is MT as well. I’ll check on those bolts when I get a chance.
But back on topic - OP, post some photos of your downpipe and frontpipe (if you can) and maybe we can let you know what you’ve got!
Upon re-reading, this stands out to me, and it tracks with an aftermarket catalyst. The factory cat is the single most restrictive part of the turbo-back exhaust and replacing it with basically any available aftermarket pipe is a noticeable improvement.
Nice! Was yours auto or stick? Kappas are...
On the lift? So the car was not resting on the wheels when you set the lengths? It is paramount that the suspension is loaded when you're setting the endlink lengths, otherwise you will end up with a clunking, preloaded swaybar.
This is a decent video tutorial, though you can skip the part...
Did you set your endlink lengths correctly? That is to say, with the car resting with all four wheels on equal-height ramps or stands, on level ground, so that the suspension is loaded and neutral? You have to do that with adjustable endlinks to properly set the lengths for zero preload. If you...
This is excellent information. The only thing that I would add is that if you are lowered an inch or more you're either going to want to be more conservative with the offset or more aggressive with your camber, especially depending on what tire brand/model you are using (some are narrow or fat...
No recalibration is needed. During my intercooler install I accidentally bumped the radar but only enough to make it shake for a moment - I didn’t bend or really upset anything. It’s not as easily disturbed as you might fear. You’ll be fine as long as you’re not attacking it like a drunken gorilla.
It's a supplier issue, likely tier 2 or 3 - that is, suppliers for suppliers. This probably came down to a set of bad injection mold tooling or a particular injection mold press producing defective impellers. Perhaps it was even a material sourcing issue wherein the incorrect polymer blend...
Conti EC DWS 06+ are excellent all-season tires. I'd stick with them. As for sizing, 235/40R18 is very close to stock circumference and shouldn't rub.
ETA: You can use Will They Fit and Tire Size to visualize different sizes compared to your current set.
That really depends on the weather where you are. The first time I parked my Civic for about 10 days during the winter, with temperatures ranging from -10F to 30F, the battery was drained to the point the interior lights wouldn’t turn on. The second winter, it still ended up that way despite...
I have multiple NOCO Genius10 chargers for my cars. Does multistage charging, maintenance/conditioning, and repair for 6v/12v Lead Acid, AGM, and lithium batteries. It’s brought several batteries back from the dead with a single over-night cycle. I use one for my Sky during winter storage and...
Yeah, midcycle revisions are quite common across virtually every OEM. I work in cost estimation and engineering consultation and the vast majority of my work is centered around automotive. I can tell you that if a cost-reduction design revision can be implemented during the vehicle's remaining...
Probably some confusion regarding a revision in the way the wheel arch liner interfaces with the fender. In earlier years there is a tab on the fender near the side marker that holds up the liner, and in (I believe) 2019+ that tab is nonexistent. There may be other minor changes between the...
Not the same component but the concept is the same, only for the rotors instead of the wheels. 350Z hub bore is a few millimeters larger diameter than our Civics and the rings fill that gap.
It's a joke. The dude would post essay-long rants about haters (aka people with reasonable concerns) while totally side-stepping their issues.
Thanks for making me explain it.
u hater!!! (jk)
