So I've been looking to buy some wheels of FI and they suggest I get the TPMS added when I buy but I read that the Civic reads it indirectly and maybe does not have a system. Just wondering what the deal is with that and if i needed to pay the extra for it if the civic has it's own way of doing it. I have a '19 sport hatch if that helps.

There are no TPMS wheel sensors, you're correct. It's measured indirectly through the ABS/wheel speed sensor modules.

So I don't need to pay for it when buying the wheels, correct?

I believe so. We actually don't have TPMS in Canada lol. All you need to do is put your new wheels on and then re-calibrate the TPMS system through your headunit or dash.

Correct ... reads the ABS sensors ... No TPMS sensors needed.
