Remote start

when I remote start my car in the morning or night time, how do I know it actually started? It flashes the turn signals to know it is starting. But once it has started not even the day time running lights turn on or night time lights turn on during night time. Is there a way to change this to turn of DRL when remote starting the car?

If the turn signals did the usual flashing sequence, I wouldn't worry about it.

Rumor has it that it doesn't turn any lights on to avoid citations for idling/prevent your car from being targeted by thieves who like cars left unattended.
