Prepped for and attended the Continental tire x Super Street FF Battle 9 track event this past week at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond California (Streets of Willow). The car was prepped on short notice for the event, however everything went according to plan. Our efforts were greatly assisted by Swift Springs and Rays MSC. There are no official specs released yet as these are largely prototype piecces. Weeks prior prototype camber plates were produced by Raceline USA in Temple City CA dubbed PROCamber plates version 1.0. More can be seen on Instagram @racelineusa. When lowered on the prototype Swift Springs and Rays 57 Transcend wheels, the look was insane. With street testing conducted there was no rubbing around the tight corners of city streets or over any major bumps. The real test would be on the track.

In the morning many were surprised at how low the car was given that there was also a Show Car Shootout occurring alongside FF Battle.

The real test was always going to be on the circuit. So we dropped pressures and off we went to attack. On track the car handled amazing with no rubbing. This was a rather short tight cornered circuit which demanded great balance and agility. The car was super fun to wheel around on this circuit. Prior concerns of rubbing or adaptability to the stock dampers were instantly addressed! Engine cooling was not even an issue to think of, thanks to additional fixes performed by Elton Lo of Raceline USA. The tires we were running on, were supplied by the event sponsor Continental Tires. We ran on the Extreme Contact Sport Tire, which was a fun tire to drive on track. We were able to do 8 hard laps most sessions, on a track that provides very little straightaway opportunity for cooling. The tires took the heat well with good grip and would get greasy without the temperature gauge even moving a hair. Driving on the Swift Springs was a treat, as body roll was well controlled and bumps were well damped in R+ Mode. This is not a surprise given the material and process of manufacture that Swift Springs uses. Overall the results were excellent for a base car on stock dampers, lowering springs, and wheels. Keep posted for MotorTrend/Super Street's event video on youtube and coverage in the magazine. Cannot disclose results as of yet. Overall we had so much reliable fun that we can not wait for our next track event on this setup.

Here is an idea of what Swift Springs are used on.

Can you elaborate on the cooling modification?

What were your alignment specs?
