Any problems with the PRL 2017+ FK8 Honda Civic Type-R Plug 'N Play Flex Fuel Kit?
After install, everything ran well. Now, after the engine is warm, I have dynamic varying rpm at rest, from 0800-1700 rpm. Also, there is a momentary occasional “pause” in power when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. The error code is for "air mixture higher than expected”.

Hi Hamilton,
This could be an installation error, or an issue with the wiring harness (which would be covered under our warranty). Please check your ground connection, and make sure your vehicle has been flashed for enabling ethanol tables. If you have any further issues please reach out to [email protected] with any additional information such as your current ethanol content reading, CEL code, pictures of your installation, or anything else that may help us troubleshoot.

An idle issue would be indicative of a vacuum leak. Not very much else can cause that. Check the clamps around the charge pipes, especially near the throttle body.

feel free to post a datalog and I’ll see if I can tell you more. What was the specific CEL number?

will do when it happens again. I had 2 codes;
emissions light and rev match light. Didn’t catch the code, but the device I used to reset said “air mixture is higher than expected”.

im having the same issue after installing the PRL flex fuel kit check engine comes on with a P0507 code....before the kit it wont do any of the high idle at a stop or check engine light is really frustrating all i want is to be able to dyno my car and get the most out of it after spending a good amount of money on bolt ons that came before the kit

Sounds like the ECU is still using the ECT. You need to use the appropriate calibration/tune so it uses that sensor voltage to measure ethanol.

Sorry to revive this old thread.
Hi everyone ,
I just installed the newest @PRL Motorsports flex kit,
It was ok for one day but now I have a emissions and rev match CEL.
Does anyone have an idea why?
I am on Hondata btw.
Best regards
